Cherepovets Plywood and Furniture Plant received the first Halal certificate in the industry

Cherepovets Plywood and Furniture Plant received the first Halal certificate for plywood and sawn-wood in the industry! This means that the products actively used by furniture manufacturers are recognized as “halal”, i.e. permitted according to Islamic norms and rules.
– For CPFP, the Halal certificate is an additional tool for increasing sales of plywood and sawn-wood to countries in Asia and the East. The Halal certificate enhances the company’s reputation when cooperating with companies in Egypt, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Iran, serves as an opportunity to attract consumers from other Muslim countries and strengthen CPFP position in the markets. Thus, the company plans to ship more than 30% of plywood and about 50% of lumber from the total volume of manufactured products to Muslim countries in 2025, – commented Olga Sukhanova, Deputy General Director for Plywood and Sawn-Wood Sales at CPFP, JSC. “The number of Muslims in the world and in Russia is growing: by 2030, there will be 2.2 billion Muslims in the world, which will make up 26.4% of the world population, in Russia, growth to 30 million people is expected,” comments Yulia Ermakova, Marketing Director of NORDECO PLYWOOD, “Halal certification is becoming increasingly relevant not only among Muslims, but also among people of other faiths who strive for ethical and high-quality products.”
